Kindergarten Registration to be Held January 31 & February 7, 2017

District 200 is holding Kindergarten Registration on January 31 and February 7 for parents of children entering kindergarten in the fall at Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center.  Parents may register their child on either date.  In addition, parents will receive information about physicals and immunizations, Kids Club, and will have the opportunity to apply for a library card from the Woodstock Public Library.

Registration Times

  • Tuesday, January 31, 2017 any time between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 7, 2017 any time between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.

Parents interested in the Kindergarten Dual Language program MUST also attend one of the additional informational meetings to learn about the available class options.  Both presentations will be in English and Spanish.

Mandatory Dual Language Meetings

  • Tuesday, January 31, 2017 @ 3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 7, 2017 @ 5:30 p.

To be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2017-18 school year:

  • Children must be (5) years old on or before September 1, 2017
  • State law requires an original or certified copy of the birth certificate at the time of registration; your child will not be registered without one.  Hospital certificates are not acceptable.
  • Parents must also provide proof of residency in order to register their child
  • A registration fee of $125 will be collected at the time of registration

2045 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock

Program preference forms and registration materials for District 200’s 2017-18 kindergarten classes will be due no later than Thursday, February 16, 2017.  Parents of students selected for the Dual Language Program will be notified at the end of March. If there are more applications than spaces available in the Dual Language Kindergarten program, a lottery will be held to choose student participants.
